Some port set-ups on the Nauticam port charts say something similar to this: "This setup is only compatible with 37305 SN:A544975 onwards, older version 37305 can be upgraded using lock mechanism 95851."
You may be asking what to do with this information.
- If you own an old port adapter already that has a serial number lower than the listed SN, you will need the lock mechanism - in that case, please contact us with your port adaptor product number and serial number and we can arrange to have 95851 lock mechanism sent to you free of charge with your new port parts.
- If you own a port adaptor already that has a serial number higher than the listed SN - you already have the new lock mechanism and don't need to do anything special.
- If you don't own a port adaptor and the port chart says you need one, please purchase the recommended parts. Your new port adaptor will have the upgraded lock mechanism.
Do you need to upgrade if you aren't getting a new port set-up?
No, not really. This is just to make the N120 Port Adaptors compatible with the new N120 Extension Rings II, III versions of ports as well as WACP-1/2, WACP-1B, FCP-1. But if you already have a set-up you like and aren't planning on changing that any time soon then just put this info in your back pocket and keep it in mind for the future if you do want a new set-up that uses this adaptor.
